The Datrivo Protocol for Collaboration
Before we exchange a single pixel, we establish the rules of engagement. Datrivo operates as a precision-focused external team, not a bottomless resource pit. This protocol protects your budget and our focus, ensuring we only take on projects where we can deliver measurable value.
Scope Boundary Check
- ✓ 2D Indie Titles: Platformers, puzzle games, narrative-driven experiences.
- ✗ No AAA FPS/MMORPG: We avoid large-scale pipeline integration and enterprise-scale toolchains.
- ✗ No 'Exposure' Work: We are a professional studio. All engagements are paid, contract-based engagements.
Engagement Phases
Review provided materials (One-Pager, build link). We identify key technical and art direction constraints.
A fixed-bid contract or hourly estimate with a clear delivery timeline and asset breakdown.
Style frames, asset pipelines, and technical benchmarks. We lock this phase before production starts.
Weekly build drops, synchronous review via Discord, final delivery via secure link.
Method Note
Our evaluation focuses on technical feasibility and creative fit. We decline projects where the technical stack creates unmanageable risk or the creative direction falls outside our proven portfolio. This isn't about being elitist; it's about ensuring we can deliver on our promises.
To the Dev Team
This form connects directly to our technical lead. We review every inquiry manually. To avoid a generic auto-reply, please provide context. A vague request may get a delayed or declined response.

The Asynchronous Hub
Istanbul is our strategic command center—positioned at the crossroads of continents. We leverage this to operate on a 'Midnight Sun' protocol with our global partners. Our work is built for asynchronous collaboration, not real-time meetings.
For EU clients, our day ends as theirs begins. We hand off progress updates via detailed notes and builds, ensuring 24-hour development cycles without the burnout of forced overlap. We travel to GDC and Gamescom for face-to-face strategy, but our daily workflow is designed for distance.
"The best remote collaboration isn't about simulating an office. It's about building systems that respect time zones and deep work cycles."
— Lead Technical Director, Datrivo
The Datrivo 'No' List
Transparent boundaries to save everyone time. If your project fits any of these categories, the answer is no. This isn't negativity—it's clarity.
Crunch Culture
We do not commit to deadlines requiring overtime or weekend work. Our schedule is fixed and realistic.
Vague Scopes
"We need art" is not a valid inquiry. We require genre, style references, and technical specs upfront.
Post-Mortem Fixes
We do not fix broken projects from other studios. We prefer to start fresh or consult from the beginning.
Crypto/Web3
We focus strictly on traditional gaming applications and interactive media. No NFT or blockchain projects.
'Exposure' Payment
We are a professional studio, not a portfolio builder. All engagements are paid, contract-based engagements.
AAA Pipeline
We do not handle AAA FPS or MMORPG pipelines. We specialize in 2D indie titles.
