At Datrivo, we build tools for gamers, not data brokers. This document outlines exactly how we collect, use, and protect your information—because privacy isn't a feature, it's a foundation.

Core Concepts

Personal Data

Any information that can identify you directly—like your email address or device ID. We limit this collection to what's essential for app functionality.

Anonymous Usage

Aggregated, non-identifiable data. This shows us which features are popular but tells us nothing about *you* personally. It's how we improve without spying.

Session Data

Temporary information needed for your app to work during a single visit. It’s like writing notes on a whiteboard and erasing them when you leave.

Device Identifier

A unique string for your specific device. We use this to prevent fraud and ensure your settings sync correctly—never to track you across other apps.

Opt-In Consent

A clear, affirmative choice you make. We never assume consent; you actively decide which features (like analytics) to enable.

Data Controller

The legal entity (Datrivo) that determines the purpose and means of processing your data. We are accountable for it under GDPR and similar laws.

What We Collect & Why

We categorize data into two buckets: what's strictly necessary and what's purely optional. You control the optional.

Account & Communication

  • Email address: To send your download link, receipt, and critical security updates. We never add you to marketing lists without your explicit permission.
  • Support tickets: When you contact us, we keep your message and our correspondence to solve your issue and improve our help docs.

Device & Performance Data

  • Device model & OS version: To ensure compatibility and optimize our app for your specific hardware. This data is anonymized for reporting.
  • Crash reports (optional): We ask permission to collect anonymous error logs. This helps us fix bugs faster, but you can opt out entirely.
  • Performance metrics: FPS, battery usage, thermal data—all used to calculate your personalized "Performance Score" and suggest optimizations.

Analytics (Opt-In Only)

We use a privacy-first, self-hosted analytics tool (Plausible). No cookies. No cross-site tracking. We only see:

  • Pages visited (e.g., "Settings" or "Performance Tuner").
  • Referring domain (e.g., came from Google or a direct link).
  • General device type (mobile vs. desktop).

We cannot identify you from this data. It’s used only to prioritize feature development.

How We Use Your Information

Our use of data falls into three clear, non-negotiable categories.

Core Functionality

To run the app: syncing your configuration, processing downloads, and securing your account.

Product Improvement

To identify which features to build next and where performance tuning can be enhanced.

Communication

To respond to your questions and send essential updates (security, major updates).

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to any third party. Full stop. However, we use essential service providers who process data on our behalf under strict agreements.

Note: Payment details are processed directly by the payment provider. We do not store your full payment card number.

Your Rights & Controls

You are in control of your data. We provide tools to exercise these rights within the app and via email.

Access & Portability

Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you, delivered in a machine-readable format (JSON).

Correction

Update your email, device preferences, or any other personal data directly in your account settings.

Deletion

Request full account deletion. We will wipe all associated personal data from our systems within 30 days.

Objection & Restriction

Object to processing for specific purposes or restrict processing while a dispute is investigated.

Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

  • Encryption in Transit

    All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3 (HTTPS).

  • Encryption at Rest

    Sensitive data (like email addresses) is encrypted in our databases using AES-256.

  • Access Control

    Strict, role-based access controls ensure only essential personnel can access systems. All access is logged.

  • Incident Response

    In case of a data breach, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities within 72 hours as required by law.

Retention & Contact

Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
  • Support tickets are kept for 3 years to maintain service history.
  • Analytics data is anonymized and aggregated; raw logs are purged after 12 months.
  • Upon account deletion, your personal data is removed from active systems within 30 days (remaining backups may take up to 90 days to clear).
